Terms of Service

1. Agreement
By using ChairShare ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ChairShare (ABN 12 345 678 901).
2. The Platform
ChairShare provides software that enables independent hair stylists ("Practitioners") to receive bookings and payments from their clients ("Customers"). ChairShare is not a party to appointments between Practitioners and Customers.
Chair rental is governed by a separate Licence Agreement between you and ChairShare. These Terms of Service cover use of the software platform only.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others.
4. Practitioners
Practitioners agree to:
- Provide services as listed on their booking page
- Honour confirmed bookings or cancel with reasonable notice
- Comply with all applicable laws, including workplace health and safety
- Hold appropriate licences and qualifications for the services they offer
- Not list services they are not qualified or permitted to perform
- Pay chair rent on time as per the Licence Agreement
5. Customers
Customers agree to:
- Attend booked appointments on time
- Provide accurate contact information
- Pay for services as agreed at booking
- Treat Practitioners and salon staff with respect
6. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. ChairShare does not store payment card information.
Cancellation and refund policies are set by each Practitioner and displayed on their booking page. ChairShare facilitates but does not determine refund outcomes.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent payment processing
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Impersonate another person or organisation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its infrastructure
- Scrape or extract data without our written permission
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChairShare is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to ChairShare in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Platform ceases but your booking history is retained for legal record-keeping purposes.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
